SUNDAYS - Cornwall Sunday School
	Sunday School at Cornwall United runs during Sunday morning Worship September through June. Children and adults worship together for the first 10 - 15 minutes then children and teachers go to the basement for Sunday School. The curriculum we use is called PowerXpress and explores themes and stories over a 4-6 week period. Each unit ends with an AMEN! Sunday where children share lessons learned with the entire congregation in an all-ages worship service. Classes are set up in stations (music, cooking, art, storytelling, science, and more) with children moving through different stations experiencing a new one week by week. Each time they encounter the story from a different perspective using different learning styles and interest areas. Children are grouped by age/grade so that the teacher can adapt the lesson plan to a specific age group. All children are welcome to attend whether they come once a year, once a month or every Sunday. Themes for Fall are: Digging into the Bible (Sept 13 - Oct 11) Joseph (Oct 18 - Nov 15) and Journey to Bethlehem (Nov 22 - Dec 20) You can find out more about PowerXpress at www.powerxpress.com click on “What is Rotation Model Teaching?” Cornwall Nursery Nursery is available for children under 3 years. At present the nursery is unstaffed; but, if there is demand volunteer-staffing will be arranged.
